Europe Budget Travel

Europe budget travel requires that you be resourceful in finding deals online and offline.  If you are on a budget and want to visit Europe the best advice you can heed is travel during the off-peak season.  This way, you can enjoy a number of discounts which most businesses involve in travel offer to their clients.

Spring or fall is the best time to visit.  The rates are lower and the people are not as crowded compared to summer.  Winter is the least expensive travel time.  But you may need to brave snow and overcast skies for months.
Budget Airlines
There are a number of budget airlines operating in London.  Some offer as low as USD $11 for fares in various European countries.  The airfares between European cities are priced cheaply.  If you travel on off-peak dates, you will enjoy these incredibly low rates when you travel across Europe.
You can also avail of other budget airlines in Ireland, Portugal, Belgium and France.  These cities offer similar low rates as their London low cost airline counterparts.  You can cross country to country faster and cheaper if you inquire from these airlines.
Family Operated Budget Lodging

Five star hotels charge a hefty sum per night.  Family operated lodging makes Europe budget travel more affordable.  It is better alternative especially if you travel for a month or so.  These lodging places are often found in Switzerland. But you can still find these budget accommodations in other places in Europe.

Hostel Accommodations

Hostelling is the most popular form of accommodation in Europe. This accommodation is very affordable too.  You can get added discounts if you avail of Hostelling International's Annual Membership Card.  They offer several benefits to members too.

Romania is part of the European Union but it is still using its national currency, leu which makes it very affordable.  It will use the euro currency in 2012.  You can travel to this place before the said transition so you can avail of low, affordable tour rates. Romania is strategically located near Greece and Turkey.  You can enjoy the romantic ambiance of Romania and use it to jumpstart your visit to its more popular neighboring countries.

The Baltic States comprised of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are great places to visit.  They offer a number of travelling opportunities steeped with history and beautiful sights.  They have not adopted the Euro as main currency yet. That makes them very affordable to visit.
Cruise is a great inexpensive way to tour Europe.  For a fixed price, you get to see a number of places in Europe complete with all the necessary amenities – food, accommodation and leisure activities all rolled into one.  Some do have add-on fees on top of the basic fare. Inquire about this first before availing. Cruising will definitely make an excellent Europe budget travel option.
